A Guide to Building a Motorcycle Storage Shed

What makes a motorcycle enjoyable to ride is the very thing that allows it to be vulnerable to the elements. This is the reason why you need to have a space to keep your motorbike, eliminating the need to constantly replace parts damaged by weather.

In the absence of a garage, a portable shed can be constructed using inexpensive materials. Written below are specific steps on how to get this done.

Begin by measuring out the size of your portable garage. Ideally, your storage space should be about fix feet long and four feet wide. Next, hammer some rebar supports halfway into the ground at each corner of the garage with a rubber mallet. Place the remaining pieces at midway point on each side of the building. Then, bend each piece of PVC to form a U-shape. Put the arm of each pipe over the end of the rebar support that is sticking out of the ground.

Once you are done, wrap a wire around the top bend of the first bit of PVC pipe. Allow it to run loosely to the second piece of pipe and wrap it. This will create a ridge pole that will help the shed to hold up under the weight of snow. After completing the previous step, cut your board into two 6-foot pieces and one 4-foot piece. Connect the first piece of timber to the end of the shorter one to form an open square. Attach this at the base of the garage frame outside of the rebar, leaving one side open. Finally, pull the polyethylene shell over the top of the garage frame so that one side is flush to the front of the garage. Secure the sides with fencing tacks. Allow the back to hang loose. And, with these steps, you now have your own motorcycle storage shed.
